We turned what the owner referred to as a "perennial wetland" into something the owner now describes as "a showplace, a beautiful, serene yard that I thoroughly enjoy." We removed a deck and jumble of plantings and replaced them with a stone patio, a retaining wall and steps along the back edge of the yard, installed irrigation and sodded the lawn.
